Laurent and Jerome started in 1995 with making wine, without owning any vineyards. They buy their grapes in the region of Languedoc-Rousillon, a region in which they believe very strongly, especially nowadays that the grapes from regions such as the Bordeaux and Burgundy are very pricey. They blend, and cure, and use all the techniques, both modern and traditional ones, to accentuate the special qualities of the grapes and the region. In the heart of what is the biggest vineyard in the world, Calmel & Joseph perpetuate this heritage in the continuity of the ancient skills of their ancestors. Villa Blanche, an inspired and inspiring signature creation, is at the confluence of tradition and modern technology. Opulent aromas that are typical of Viognier, with notes of white peach, apricot and varied citrus fruit. Round, fruity and well balanced, it offers the superbly fresh finish that is characteristic of all our wines. The partial oak ageing has also left a subtle imprint.
