“genius in a bottle”
Our friends and fellow winelovers always keep their eyes peeled for little gems for us to take into our selection and introduce in Ibiza. And so it happens that, quite a few years back, friends of ours dined at Cellers Can Roca in Girona and drank this bomb of a wine. And kindly brought us a bottle.
The hand glued etiquette fell off and when we finally got to opening the bottle, we had no idea of what was about to happen. An explosion of wild fruit, intense, lively, like nothing we had ever tasted before.
We found a name on the cork and it turned out the wine was sold only directly to Michelin starred restaurants, bummer.
But we got on well with Erik, the winemaker, and he decided to hop onto the ferry and come to Ibiza to meet us for a tasting. Since then his wines are available at Vino&Co, in very small amounts.
