Chenin blanc (known also as Pineau de la Loire among other names) is a white grape variety from the Loire Valley of France. Fabrice Gendrot, winemaker since 2014 in the Loire Valley, has opted to only use organic grapes for his wines. He makes wine on a human scale, with production not exceeding a few thousand bottles and the harvest and bottling is done within friends and family. This particular wine is his white show stopper, fruity but not sweet, dry and not complex, with hints of apples and quince. Natural wine at it’s best.
