Misty Cove is a young wine company in New Zealand, spearheaded by Andrew Bailey and his Dutch wife Marieke. At Misty Cove it’s their aim to create wines that are pure, clean and accessible, with grapes providing from Marlborough and Otago. Wines to drink and enjoy, without complicating it too much and preferably in good company. Every now and then, they make an exception and bring out something exceptional. This being the Waitaria, a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Organic and 12 months on new and used French oak, this wine has an inspiring bouquet of grilled peach, melon, vanilla and hazelnuts. A silky soft taste explosion with a long aftertaste.
