Simon Hofstra is a – in Japan awarded- Sake Samurai and one of the most renowned professionals worldwide when it comes to sake.
With the aim of further spreading sake knowledge, Simon founded Taste of Sake in 2016.
Taste of Sake focuses on giving courses, inspiring and training sommeliers and specialist retailers.
As an alcohol consultant, Simon specialises in consultancy work for European importers of Japanese alcoholic beverages. He’s an official WSET teacher for level 1 and 3 in sake and is Co-Chairman for the International Wine Challenge for sake.
