The Tsuki no Katsura Asahi Junmai is a premium sake crafted by Masuda Tokubee Shoten, a historic brewery located in the Fushimi district of Kyoto. Established in 1675, Tsuki no Katsura is renowned for its commitment to traditional sake-making methods, including brewing exclusively during the winter months using handcrafted techniques.

This Junmai sake is brewed using Asahi-4-Go rice, a variety cultivated organically in Kyoto, known for its delicate aroma and smooth texture.
The rice is polished to a 60% milling ratio, resulting in a medium-bodied sake with an alcohol content of 15%.

The flavour profile is characterised by a harmonious blend of soft, milky notes and a lactic acid-like acidity, making it versatile enough to pair with a wide range of cuisines. Despite its rich umami aroma, the aftertaste remains smooth and crisp, whether served warm or chilled.
