Tsuki no Katsura (月の桂) is situated in the Fushimi district of Kyoto. Established in 1675, Masuda Shoten is one of the oldest wineries in the Fushimi area of Kyoto Prefecture, where the water is often time-honored for its healing properties and has the perfect amount of minerals to provide healthy fermentation and balanced. Masuda Tokubee Shoten is known for creating the first nigori sake in 1964, a cloudy and frothy version, and for having the collection of the oldest aged sakes (koshu).

The brewery combines traditional sake-making techniques with modern technology to create their exceptional beverages. The name “Tsuki no Katsura” translates to “Moon’s Katsura,” with “Katsura” referring to the river that flows through Kyoto, a symbol of elegance and beauty.

Yanagi means Willow Tree. Known for its delicate and fruity fragrance with notes of melon, apple and pear. Smooth and well balanced, with a rich, slightly sweet flavour. Umami laden body. It has a sweet and clean finish that leaves a pleasant aftertaste in the mouth. A refined, high-quality sake that showcases the unique flavors and aromas of Kyoto’s traditional sake-making techniques.
